I'm baaaack! For today at least.

For the last couple of weeks I have been thinking 'I will totally do a blog post today, or tomorrow.' and I NEVER got around to it! So here we are and it has been almost a month since I have posted. That is a really long time. Part of it was that our main computer broke and I hated typing out posts on our tiny laptops but another part. I left last Sunday for ODP (Olympic Developmental Program) in Illinois and didn't get back home until Wednesday then I had some down time for a day and a half and left Friday night for a soccer tournament and got back last night (Sunday). And now... *drum roll* we get to go on a vacation to Colorado! We haven't been on a vacation in 5 years (when we went to Colorado) and so its a pretty big deal for us.

We will be going to this huge amusement park, my uncles cabin, having a huge birthday bash... I can't wait :)

When I haven't had soccer I have done other summery stuff: fireworks, swimming, boating ect. tons of fun!

I was SO glad that I got at least one awesome fireworks shot this year, unlike last year. Mind you, this was pretty much the only good one I got because I forgot to actually read about what settings I should put my sisters camera on.

And speaking of cameras... While I was at ODP camp my mom found my camera that has been missing since early May! Perfect timing as now I can actually take some good pictures in Colorado.

I obviously probably won't do any posts while I'm on vacation but I may sneak one in. When I get back I can't wait to share pictures with you all.

So for the meantime, I will 'see' you all soon!!

Trying Out Tea...

So, tea. When I was little I would drink tea even though I really didn't like it 'cause I thought it made me so cool to drink tea.
Eventually I got some sense knocked into me and decided that since I didn't like I shouldn't drink it :P

Anyway, recently seeing all of Kim Klassen's awesome tea photos has officially inspired me to try tea again!
Herb teas in general, and my mom brought home a box of assorted herb teas for me the other day! There are 6 different flavors:

Pomegranate Pizzazz ~ sweet & tart taste of pomegranate
I Love Lemon ~ Refreshing blend with lots of lemon
Mint Medley ~ Blend of cool garden spearmint & peppermint
Orange & Spice ~ A zesty blend of orange and spice
Cozy Chamomile ~ Calming chamomile for quiet moments
Sweet Dreams ~ Relaxing blend of chamomile & mint

And I admit I am a little timid to try a few of them (I have never liked trying new things), but I will try them all eventually.
I have already tried the mint medley and I thought it tasted like the dentist. So I think I just have to get used to the taste.

Textured with Kim Klassen's Daisy and Isobel.

My question for today is do you like tea?
If so, do you have a favorite kind?

And a new fabulous link up, Tuesday Muse hosted by the lovely Nancy over at A Rural JournalI have missed her weekly linkys and am so glad she has decided to do them again ;)

Project Rewind ~ Week 6

Hola, happy Monday! so who watched The Grammys last night? I was live tweeting for most of the show. If you don't follow me already I would love for you to do so here. I think Katy Perry was my favorite dress, and my least favorite was Adele. I absolutely love love Adele but dress was too frumpy and floral for my taste.

Hearing: Taylor Swift - Last Kiss
Feeling: Fluffy baby blankets
Tasting: My fruit punch flavored water
Seeing: Dora the Explorer and baby
Smelling: My grapefruit perfume

Since I'm not at home I don't have all of this weeks photos but oh well. I promise I took a photo every day!

Monday:

Chickadee Monday!  It was sunny out last Monday with lots of birds.
Today it is gray and snowing again.

Tuesday:

On Tuesday I went to the doctor for my knee. It is just a strained tendon, nothing too serious. I have a couple of games to play in tonight but we will have to see what my knee feels like.

Wednesday:

It was a rather lazy day 'cause of my hurt knee I couldn't really do much, I had a bit of photography fun though! Any kind of fruit + 7UP = cool stuff.

Thursday:

On Thursday the first baby goat of the season was born.
And there were a whole ton of birds by our birdfeeders.

Friday:

It was really sunny out but jeez it was cold.

And I don't have Saturday or Sundays photos.

I would love for you to come back tomorrow for Inspired Tuesdays! I am co-hosting with Dawn from Dawns Disaster and Desirae from Sommerfugl Design and Not So Ugly Ducklings, I hope to see you tomorrow!

Project 52 ~ Week 5

Hello hello! This has to be a quickie cause I have a couple soccer games to go play in. But I had to share these photos before I left otherwise I would be posting it like 5 mins before midnight.

I shared this recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Raisin cookies on Wednesday, go check it out here.
Monday

On Tuesday it was in the high 50 and low 60's and the stream was so high! We haven't seen it nearly this high in a long time. Almost the whole summer it wasn't even moving there was so little water.
The one time it had a lot of water in it was when we got a big flood it was about 5 or 6 wider in each direction and the current was super strong.
Tuesday

These, were so good. Triple Chocolate cookies, recipe coming soon!
Wednesday

If you visited on Thursday you saw a whole bunch of my macros with lots of textures. My secret to getting a clean background? I hold up paper behind whatever I am taking a picture of and bamm, clean background.
Thursday

I'm not sure what kind of naughty animal footprints these are, do you?
Friday

On Saturday I went out and took a whole bunch of pictures, the sun was out but it was freezing.
Saturday

We have a whiteboard in our dining room where everyone can write notes and my mom wrote this on Sunday and at first I didn't get but know I think its pretty funny. Do you get it?
Sunday

On Sunday the sun came out for a while and there were shadows all over the house.

Project Rewind ~ Week 4

I can actually say that this was posted on Monday, at least I can if I can finsih it in the next half hour, so here we go!

Last monday was so so cold, single digits and no digits. I had some candles to make things a little cozy.

Along with the freezing cold, there were some really strong winds. On Tuesday I went out to find a big glass door on the ground shattered.

You may have already seen this picture a time or two, but here it is again. On Wednesday we got more snow and it was so pretty outside!

Thursday was a rare day. Ronnie actually stayed still long enough for me to get a few pictures!

Here I am talking about this amazing apple cinnamon cake again. I mean wow, it was so good I made it two days in a row. Recipe here.

On Saturday the sun was shining into my room and looking really cool. And I somehow got the idea to take some pictures of my eye.

Yes another barn photo. On Sunday I was supposed to have ODP so we drove the long drive for it and realized when we got there that it had been cancelled. Oops... We went shopping and I finally got some ramekins for some mini chicken pot pies! This was taken right after it stopped snowing.

Whoo! Thats like record time for writing a post. I hope you come back tomorrow to see some textures...

Project 52 - Week 3

Hello friends! Happy Monday! I will most likely have 3 or 4 soccer games tonight, I am only signed up to be on 2 but I always seem to get recruited for a few other games, but I really don't mind. So lets rewind the week!

Me and Billie had some fun photoshoots this week! Fridays post was all about Billie, go check it out!

Whipped cream on some hot chocolate.. What could be better?

There was a lot of melting snow earlier this week but now I can't see anything melting because it is no degrees outside. Literally.

Sun flare and bokeh. Gorgeous right? I realize that the propane tank and house in the background really does not do the picture any favors but I simply do not have the skills in Photoshop to get them out of the picture.

So yes I have two pictures from Thursday but I couldn't decide which one to use so you get both.
This was taken right after Zumba ended. And it was as usual, tons of fun!

There was a very bright sunset with light but beautiful colors on Friday, I Took a ton of photos.

If you saw this weeks SHS post you already saw this photo. And you know that it was time for some slightly embarrassing taking pictures of strangers time.

Project Rewind

Hello hello! This week was lots of fun, not super busy but busy enough. I am super tired right now, I played in 3 soccer games tonight and I got a huge scrape on my knee from the turf. But you don't want to hear about that, lets look at some photos!

Monday had such a pretty sunset. I was getting ready to go to soccer and I remembered that I hadn't taken my camera yet. And it was almost dark but I quickly took a few photos. It started out as a very dark photo but I'm glad I was able to save it :)
Day 7

Some of you may know that I am a volunteer at my local library, and this is my favorite aisle. I swear it has every possible awesome non-fiction book. From cookbooks, fashion, makeup, crochet and knitting, scrapbooking, and photography. I could probably spend hours here, at least if there was a big comfy chair..
Day 8

My hair was extra awesome this day so a snapped a few pictures...
Day 9

On Thursday it was rainy, really warm, and muddy. I was having fun taking pictures through the windshield.
Day 10

The past few months I haven't really been reading much. On Friday I was getting back into my rythym and read almost 2 books and took some paper heart pictures.
Day 11

If you saw my most recent SHS post you saw this picture and know that I took it with a video camera that really is not a good camera for taking pictures. So I was super happy when I saw the results of this photo!
Day 12

Before I had ODP soccer I made some pancakes and added some yummy strawberries!
Day 13

Some footprints in the snow on the 1st day of the year.

Dancer should be having her babies very soon! She is very loud and whiny, yet she still loves to be cuddled.
I can't wait!

Last year was the first time I hung Christmas lights up all around the house, then we never took them down so there are up year round now.

You may recall me sharing some pictures of this cutie a month or so ago. I babysat her again on Friday and took some very cute pictures of her! She was in a happy smiley mood :)

Oh this was so gorgeous. On the way home from ODP soccer I had my dad stop so I could take some pictures. It was fabulous.
