Pictures of a tree aka these are the only photos I have

1. Let me explain, these aren't literally the only photos I have, just the only ones that aren't ancient. You may know that I lost my camera somewhere in a unknown foreign place, that means probably somewhere in my room buried in who knows what. But anyway since my sisters isn't actually mine I don't get to use it whenever I want so then I have to use my phone for pictures... But these two pictures below were taken with her camera.

2. I never posted about the new trees we got in the fall because I put it off for like a week, then another week and then I forgot about it just like all the other things I forget to post about. But anyway, I don't remember what kind of tree this is but I do for a fact that it is a kind of tree. It took some hard studying to figure that out.

3. Another thing I stupidly never posted about was the fact that Dancer (the stray kitty that came to our house in the winter) had five kittens in like...March? Its true that I didn't get any good pictures of them and still haven't but still. We got my mother to give in and keep one (his name is Hungry/Boe and his farts stink.) so we still have one and hey maybe I will have a little photo shoot with him? And then never actually post about it?

4. I have finally come to terms with the fact that quality over quantity is better. In this case meaning blog posts. I visited a blog last week and I realized she posts about two times in a week  and a half and every time she posts her posts are awesome so I totally get it now! Go me!

5. One of my three hens has decided to go broody. It all started out at night last week when I was putting them away but I couldn't find her so I automatically starter to think the worst and think that she had been eaten by a stupid raccoon or some other animal. Then she came out the next day making broody noises (I just call it that for no apparent reason...it means she was blabbing nonstop) and I thought, hey she sounds like a broody hen! Then I realized. Dude we don't have a rooster so her eggs won't be fertilized and so she is sitting on a secret nest for nothing! And I feel bad so I plan on tracking her down and like...doing something about it.

Some Kind of Fruit Tree

Uno: I went outside at 9:00am and came in around 9:00pm. That is 12 whole hours outside actually working on the chicken pen, cutting the grass with scissors (yes I wanted to mow the lawn so bad I was using scissors. Not having a mower will do that to a person), watching twin baby girls (goats) be born, being a crazy person, and watching chicks be chicks.

Dos: I took this picture last weekend, all of the flowers are gone now and won't be back for like, a year. It depends on if Spring decides to be late again or not. I also have no idea what kind of fruit come from this tree. 

Tres: I love breaking sunglasses. I laid down on my all time favorites last weekend and started flipping out. I ended up missing them so much that I went back to the store where I got them and got an identical pair, for $2.50 more then I originally got them for. BOOO!

Quatro: I could go on and on about how happy I am that we are FINALLY building the chicken pen. I mean I have been waiting so long! I knew what I wanted to do but we never got supplies until last weekend. But yay for finally starting! Pictures coming sometime in the next 10 years!

Sinco: What were you like when you were 13? You may not be able to tell but I am seriously CRAZY, WEIRD and QUIRKY. Remember earlier in this post when I said  was cutting the lawn with scissors? That is just an example.

Searching For Green

1. Tomorrow is going to be the first sunny day in almost a week and I plan on being outside all day working on all kinds of different things. I can't wait!

2. We have a bunch of tulips coming up but I doubt any of them will bloom. They are so deep in the ground!

3. As I write this it is snowing/hailing on one side of the house and the other side has blue skies and no snow. Weird.

4. I think Blake Shelton is absolutely hilarious. And I could probably watch him all day.

5. The kittens are getting SO big! They will be four weeks old tomorrow and are so cute... Now that I think of it I don't think I even said anything about them being born :O Maybe pictures sometime in the next week though!

Splishy Splashy...

1. We might get 2 dozen chicks from our neighbor today. I am so excited!!! They are ameraucana/barred rock/rohde island red mix so they will most likely be very interesting looking!

2. It snowed today. Its already gone but that is not the point! The point is that it is April and it is snowing, which is wrong. I do have some tulips coming up, but my sisters goats think that it is a good idea to eat them, naughty goats.

3. We do not have and turquoise around here, but we do have lots of splash! Raining for a whole week straight will do that.

4. I will try to get some real spring photos for you all to share nest Friday when the nurture prompt is Green. There actually is some of that around here...

5. Seeing and reading about Nicki's spring and gorgeous weather is making me think that I need to move somewhere where Spring actually happens before May or June. Any ideas of where? Not California!

Random 5...

Soo...  Its time for some random five facts! Just a couple things from this past week starting with Sunday...


1 -  I had a soccer game that I had literally been waiting for for two years! Just so I could play against this one guy that I had played against two years earlier. So in that game so long ago I made him cry. Not because I hurt him, but because there was a free kick near the goal and he was in goal and I shielded him (just stood in front of him) and he started freaking out because he couldn't see the ball. This may seem very cruel of me but on the field I just can't help that kind of thing! Anyway, on Sunday I almost made him cry again, not quite but almost! I made him yell at me a few times and whine a bit but that was it.

2 - You may have heard already, but on Monday our barn burnt down. There were 4 goats (3 of them little babies), 8 chickens and a duck inside any they went off to the animal happy place.. It was a very sad day and you can read all about it here.

3 - On Wednesday it was so warm! I was actually outside in shorts and a t-shirt (please note that when I say it was warm it was only actually like 45 degrees!) and it was so awesome, a few people asked me if I was cold and I told them that I was pretending that it was actually Spring so no I wasn't cold.

4 - Thursday I went and worked at the Library and tried to get the printer to print onto some small labels, it was definitely a fail... Then I went to the docter with my sister and she got her cast off! I was totally going to video tape it but we forgot the video camera, and I really wished I had it 'cause when she heard the saw thingy she screamed super loud and a nurse came running in to make sure no one was dying!

5 - It was in the 50's today and it was fabulous, I was outside with the remaining chickens 'sun tanning'. I really can't wait for Spring!

Random 5...

Hello! Wow, for some reason I feel like I haven't posted in a really long time, even though I just posted yesterday! And since I have to go get ready for a soccer practice this has to be a quick post!
So here are my 5 random facts :)

1. I can't help but be so so excited for tomorrow. I am going to hang out with two awesome girls and we are going to have an absolute blast!

2. I got a Parisian baking book from the library yesterday and everything in it looks SO GOOD!
Especially the Macarons but you probably already knew that. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest checking it out from the library or you might be able to see it online somewhere. Stay tuned for some delicious recipes coming soon...

3. Earlier this week I read a book by Gabby Douglas (yes from the Olympics!) and it was so good. It was stories from throughout her whole life and was absolutely mesmerizing and wonderful. And so now I have Gymnastics glued into my head and am watching a bunch of videos from last summers Olympics.

4. I have been pouring over the Anthropologie website, and there are so many cool things! And such a huge variety of things! If you haven't already you should definitely go check them out :)

5. Today I went looking for any flower buds or green and I couldn't find anything. Literally, which is really sad considering it is mid March. Also, St. Patricks day last year was in the high 70's and everything was green and we had been playing soccer outside for a couple weeks. Where is that weather now?!

1. I am currently learning the cup song. And it is awesome. Even though it annoys my dad, a lot.

2. I am going to a fantastically awesome and fun soccer practice tonight. And then I have a soccer game on both Saturday and Sunday :)

3. On Wednesday instead of sharing one recipe, I will be sharing two! The picture above is one of them, but the other will be a surprise :)
