Tree Buds

Hello people! Since the prompt for Texture Tuesday is wise words I was contemplating being really sarcastic and saying things like "When using a hammer, don't hammer the nail through you're hand" and stuff like that and I actually still really want to so that is what I am doing. If you don't like it...well then go use that hammer (I'M KIDDING, jeez.).

Something you should not do when babysitting a toddler is leave her alone for more then 10 seconds. If your toddler is anything like the one I am babysitting as soon as you leave she will tear stuff apart. But I personally find it so cute when she shrieks with glee over throwing things everywhere that I just let her do it and then clean it up.

Something you should do when you realize you don't have pictures for todays post is to have your sister take them for you because the lady you are babysitting for is waiting outside in the driveway so you don't have time to take them (I actually did try taking the pictures myself but my sisters camera doesn't like me and didn't work so I had her do it and then email me the pictures.).

Another thing you should do when babysitting is take them to the park in almost 80 degree weather (or not) so she can play play play and then come home and take a nap because she is so tired.

I hope you enjoyed my wise words! Or not!

SHS 4.27.13.

Hello people and aliens and animals or whatever... Quickie post time, I have 3 soccer things tomorrow so I need sleep (and I just want to sleep :P)

One of my favorite toys is definitely my tripod. If I didn't have one this picture would have been even more out of focus!

Whenever the prompt is something like "anything" or "obvious" I always find it to be the most challenging. But this week since I took like 100 pictures of the same sunset I thought that this would be a good place to share one of the many pictures :)

Oh jeez... today was so much fun!! My big sister and I hung out with one of our oldest friends that we haven't hung out with since October 15th and 16th 2011 so I would definitely say we were due to hang out :)  The biggest thing we have ever done together is start a time capsule which we have had together since 2007, so 6 whole years which is crazy. And since we haven't seen the box since 2011 (our friend had it) it was so awesome to look through everything and see how we have changed.

Like for example, a piece of paper from 2010 says my two favorite singers are Ke$ha and Justin Bieber... Huge difference there, some of my favorites now are Mumford and Sons and The Lumineers.

Yesterday I decided that I was going to go all hippie and so I put on my tie dye maxi skirt (I love it!) and drank smoothies (does drinking smoothies make me a hippie?)

I was jumping, twirling and walking in the road yesterday for self portraits... I would love for you to go check the rest of my self portraits out here :)

Self Portraits

Hei! When I found about 4 Photo Ways from Nina I was SO excited. I don't really do any self portraits and so it was a perfect opportunity for me to practice! Also you might notice that my face is not in any of them...my mom just so happens to be very wary about letting us put our faces all over the internet so its a no no for me! Although I definitely would, she is a bit of a butt (kidding? mom if you are reading this, you know I stay stuff like this all the time even though I don't mean it, sometimes.) so this is what you get! And if I do say so myself I got a little bit of creativity going on :)

If you had driven by while I was doing this you would probably stop and ask if I was having seizures. At least that is what I imagine. I set up my tripod and a 10 second timer and since I have no since of time whatsoever I was literally jumping around like crazy for 10 seconds over and over. It wasn't a pretty sight but it was definitely fun!

And then for this one I was standing in our road (only like 3 cars go down our road per hour!) and spinning, running, jumping and twirling while taking tons of photos and hoping I got lucky. Which I think I did!

You may already know that I love my curly red hair (please note that the red hair is not natural. I love dying my hair.) so that means I take pictures of it, I'm cool like that.

Once again, I'm in the road. I think this counts even though I didn't take it, my big sister did. She also got a awesome (seriously awesome) photo of my mid burp! I almost never burp so it was a good moment to document.

Oh and hey, isn't my purple tie-dye skirt awesome? I got it as a hand-me-down and love it! Also there is in fact lilac purple in it so it counts for the Nurture Photography challenge prompt, right?

I hope you enjoyed visiting! I love new followers... *wink wink*

Naughty Robin Nest

Robins are my favorite bird (besides chickens!) because my big sister is so deathly scared of them. Like today she asked me to come outside with her so I could scare the robin on the nest away so she could take a picture or 12 but I told her to go and face her fears and do it herself and it turns out she did, kind of. She actually got our little sister to help her. Shame on you sister, for not being able to deal with birds by yourself!

Anyway, when it comes to little birds I am not the kind of person to freak out...or am I?

So because I am not scared of little birds I am able to get pictures without screaming bloody murder. So, sister, if you are reading this please comment letting me know if this makes me cooler then you. Danke.

Twisty Oak

Hello hello! OH my goodness yesterday was SO nice (finally!)! It got up into the very low 60's and even though the sun barely peeked out it was glorious outside. We actually got to the point where we were wearing shorts and tank tops and flip flops like it was actually summer, even though it really isn't yet. Then here we are on Tuesday and it is supposed the rain (maybe even a little snow :O) here and there and is in the low 40's. But then... *drum roll........* starting tomorrow, we will have:

AHH, it is a miracle! We are officially like coming out of the cold grey stone age or something. But anyway, picture time from sunny Saturday...

I think oaks may be my favorite kind of tree, all cool and twisty and huge. I kind of see it like a halloween tree like its going to come to life and scare little kids (okay okay sorry for the image!)? But anyway, I could probably take like a million pictures of this kind of tree :)
Texture with Kim's Sybil and Nested textures.
Also textured with Nancy's nc_meg.

SHS 4.20.13.

Hello people! I have to say I am not really in the mood to write this kind of post. I would much rather be posting a super duper funny post on my comedy blog Ironic Princesse (thanks Jenna Marbles...), which if you do go over there and take a look, be prepared to meet a new side of me! Anyway, I actually do love doing SHS so I am, in fact writing this post. I hope you enjoy!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Celebration around here right now is the fact that we had SUN today. It was kind of a foreign thing since we haven't had it in so long so I was outside most of the day having adventures with my sister and also has my big brother chase us through a field while he was holding a huge branch. Great fun.
Celebration

Unless we have soccer in the evening we tend to eat together as a family and last night it was pasta and chicken. While the pasta was sitting there I loved the look of the steam and took approximately 20 pictures of said pasta.
Family

You probably knew I was going to use the baby chicks for the prompt. I mean how could I not? They are in fact fuzzy and since the cats don't want to be in pictures, unfortunately (see sarcasm!) I had to take pictures of the fuzz balls.
Fuzzy

I am hopeful that I am providing you all with some pictures that you can enjoy. I hope so at least!
Provide

I really didn't want to put this photo in black and white since I actually found a patch of green grass. It was truly a miracle(actually not really) but I had to listen to the prompt...
Spring In Black and White

And hey, I actually enjoyed writing this post so it must be a successful one!

P.S. Do you all like it when I write all funny (or when I write like I actually think I'm funny?)?

Searching For Green

1. Tomorrow is going to be the first sunny day in almost a week and I plan on being outside all day working on all kinds of different things. I can't wait!

2. We have a bunch of tulips coming up but I doubt any of them will bloom. They are so deep in the ground!

3. As I write this it is snowing/hailing on one side of the house and the other side has blue skies and no snow. Weird.

4. I think Blake Shelton is absolutely hilarious. And I could probably watch him all day.

5. The kittens are getting SO big! They will be four weeks old tomorrow and are so cute... Now that I think of it I don't think I even said anything about them being born :O Maybe pictures sometime in the next week though!
